Banana Emoji Studio presents The Kgotla Method: Fairness as Collective Practice, a new digital publication by Tanlume Enyatseng.
The zine reflects on how fairness is negotiated in cultural work across Southern Africa, drawing from Banana Club and conversations with TBP Artist Collective, ULAYO Queer Arts Festival, and LAPA – Pan African Artists Residency Programme.
Rather than approaching fairness as a fixed standard, the publication considers it as something shaped by context, relationships, and the everyday conditions of cultural production.
At its centre is the kgotla, introduced not as tradition, but as a method for gathering, listening, and collective decision-making.
The publication is available as a free download below.
